Der Film zeigt mit Kindern der Volksschule Köln-Müngersdorf und mit Studenten der Sporthochschule Köln die Art und Anwendung der Hilfestellung beim Turnen. Behandelt werden die beiden Helfergriffe Stützgriff und Drehgriff, die zunächst in Dreiergruppen geübt und dann bei Stützsprüngen, Stützabgängen und bei Überschlägen vorwärts und rückwärts angewandt werden.
The film shows children from the Cologne-Müngersdorf elementary school and students from the Cologne Sports University demonstrating the types of assistance used in gymnastics and how to apply them. It covers two types of assistance holds, the support hold and the twist hold, which are first practiced in groups of three and then applied to support jumps, support dismounts, and forward and backward rolls.
