Playground Safety

[Music] [Applause] this is the washington school you'll find it anywhere in the united states of america and it looks like the morning playground period has just beginning the borden girls of every school enjoy their playground period most when they know there won't be any accidents it's no fun to get hurt so everyone really learned the three short rules of playground safety and everyone tries to follow those rules jack and bill they're on the playground question here comes the first rule be sure the play space is safe that means always pick up sticks rocks pieces of glass and metal anything that might hurt anybody that's where those things go on now we're ready for the second rule of ground safety billy get out of the way that's the second rule keep out of the way of other planes and of course that rule also means be sure the other fella is really out of your way here's the right way all you have to do is remember the second rule keep out of the way of other players there is jack's sister and it looks like she's a little white about the time this is their last day of school because their family is moving to another town they're leaving tonight that's mr johnson he's the physical education teacher i'm still coming along jack can they cannot take over your job oh well bill what's the first rule be sure your playstation is safe right go on keep fighting one of these players and what's the last rule though that's very very important there's a good example over there on the call button let's see if the battery knows his last rule he didn't throw his dog he played the game according to the rules that he plays very well a fellow who crosses spam is not a skillful wallpaper he might hurt someone and look at that good feeling he's out even with simple games there's always the right skillful way to do things the way that prevents accidents just look over there see those junctions notice how they keep their feet upon us and they won't get caught up to the board look at that mr johnson those little ones are doing that exactly right they don't have a card to play on accident hey he's a good man jack you've been a good teacher incidentally i spoke to the principal you and mary are excused maybe you're opening up with that master attacking you that's right thank you for johnson not all when you get in the school of hillsdale remember the three rules of safety i will goodbye hello good luck to you jack so jack and mary leave all their friends at washington school but really when you start to think about it they're starting on an making new friends in a new school in their new hometown of hillsdale their new school was very big and fun looking and newer than the washington school when the morning recess time came they hide out to see the playground it was fine too at the rear of the school away from the street and all around were nice trees for shade it was a fine place all right but when you gave it a closer look not so good the grounds were all lit up with rocks and sticks and messy papers jack noticed that none of the other boys and girls seemed to pay attention to things like that and certainly no one was doing anything about it looks like nobody here ever heard of the rules be sure your play space is safe there weren't any rubbish cans oh there was one it would have been really funny after washington school and the good safety rules but it wasn't funny rubbish is dangerous when two new friends from one of mary's classes got her into a game of jumping rope jack decided to try out some of the playground animals the big overhead ladder looked like it would be fun it was a good one in fact it would have been just fine to try out some tricks if the tan mark down below hasn't been full of junk just look at that jack thought he'd get down and pick up that shovel but he decided no one else at this point school seemed to care so why should he and just then it happened some of the fellas had started a game in a place that wasn't meant for it he's in a long hard one that's how actives happen and this could never happen if the second rule didn't work if the boy playing bob had been where they belonged on the ball field their game wouldn't have hurt anybody keep out of the way of the other players how could it have been prevented this wheeler i'm sure i don't know how it's the first one like it but some sort of ball action seems to happen every day i think we should predict wrongfully forbid baseball in the united states of america might as well have been breathing how about a jack that's right mr wesley you're a good sport but you nearly got a broken arm and you got a bad headache now your headache will go away soon but i've got a headache right here that seems to be getting worse every month our playground accident record it's very bad last year our school had the lowest playground accident record it ever had your school oh of course you're new tell me about it what is this playground patrol well two years ago washington school had a new playground building a good big one and when it was ready mr johnson he was our playground teacher he told us about in an assembly he said it was a nice safe playground but it was up to us boys and girls to use this signal he had to work out the three rules to save planes then we formed the patrol to keep the playground season safe can't remind anyone when they forgot one of the rules do you think a playground patrol and these three rules you mentioned will help stop accidents here at hillsdale i'm sure well let's hear these three rules well the first rule and the school is surely eating the first field is the moment mr will you write these down for me now jack let's have these rules and i'm going to put you in charge of building our playground patrol maybe that will help a little to make up for that straight arm now let's have the three rules and everybody will learn them everybody that's all it takes to selection the first rule is be sure your play space is safe so mr weston and all the teachers put the three rules to work on his image and all abortion girls set out to learn the meaning of the rules and to practice them on the playground if everybody helps it isn't even hard work to clean up a playstation and with a big job done it's easy to keep your playground a safe place to play and jack has helped organize a good big playground patrol to keep the little fellas out of trouble when everyone remembers the rules no one can get hurt before long jack's arm was all well again and he was able to play the good old american game with baseball out on the big diamonds where it should be played the score was tied when jack came up to back yes sir the old arms all well that's a horror it sure looks like winter western is having a good time too he doesn't seem worried about that playground accident record anymore and here comes the reason why the nurse has that's the playground accident report for the whole last month look at that this is one time of zero in the perfect grade no activists thanks to everybody living up to the three rules of playground safety be sure your play space is safe keep out of the
