Die Pseudo-Dokumentation behandelt hypothetisch die Folgen eines nuklearen Präventivangriffs auf Großbritannien in den 1960er Jahren. Beginnend bei einer Verlaufsskizze von Zwangsevakuierungen, einer Analyse potenzieller Angriffsziele und der Kontaminationsgebiete im Umkreis der strategischen Anlagen führt der Film einen Konflikt in Berlin vor, der in kürzester Zeit eskaliert. Die in Interviews dokumentierte unwissende und unvorbereitete Bevölkerung hat plötzlich, im Moment der ertönenden Sirenen, noch 2 Minuten Zeit - 2 Minuten, in denen das Chaos ausbricht, da weder die Regierung, noch die internationale Staatengemeinschaft noch der Einzelne wirklich wissen, was nun passiert. Der Dokumentarfilm schildert in bedrückend eindringlicher Weise den Angriff und dessen Folgen und erfasst minutiös die Schwachstellen und Lücken im Regierungsplan zur Reorganisation und zum Schutz der Bevölkerung. Dabei erweist sich der hypothetische Film als unglaublich realitätsnah. Kein Wunder also, dass die produzierende BBC nach einer internen Vorführung vor Vertretern des Innen- und Verteidigungsministeriums die Ausstrahlung des Films weltweit zum Schutz der Öffentlichkeit unterband... The pseudo-documentary deals hypothetically with the consequences of a pre-emptive nuclear attack on Great Britain in the 1960s. Beginning with a sketch of the course of forced evacuations, an analysis of potential attack targets and the areas of contamination in the vicinity of the strategic facilities, the film presents a conflict in Berlin that escalates in a very short space of time. The uninformed and unprepared population, documented in interviews, suddenly has 2 minutes left at the moment the sirens sound - 2 minutes in which chaos breaks out, as neither the government, nor the international community, nor the individual really knows what is going to happen. The documentary depicts the attack and its consequences in a depressingly vivid way and meticulously captures the weaknesses and gaps in the government's plan to reorganize and protect the population. The hypothetical film proves to be incredibly realistic. No wonder, then, that after an internal screening in front of representatives of the Home Office and Ministry of Defense, the producing BBC stopped the film from being broadcast worldwide to protect the public...
