Der Film behandelt die Frage, inwieweit traditionelle Landnutzung und Entwicklungshilfe, angepasst an die jeweiligen Naturverhältnisse, das Ernährungsproblem der afrikanischen Länder lösen können.
Two main barriers are hampering Africa's self-sufficiency in food: Drought disasters in large areas and the population explosion throughout Africa. The film deals with the question of the extent to which traditional land use and development aid, adapted to the respective natural conditions, can solve the food problem of African countries.
