Im Rahmen einer Spielhandlung erleben Kinder das 'Element Luft' in seinen Eigenschaften und seiner Funktion für das menschliche Leben. Die Luft in ihrer vielfältigen Bedeutung für den Menschen ist das Thema des Films. Dabei geht es einmal um den existentiellen Zusammenhang, dass ohne Luft kein Leben möglich ist. Daneben wird gezeigt, dass Luft 'trägt' (z.B. Ballon, Fallschirm), dass man ihre Eigenschaften beim Spielen verwenden kann (z.B. Windrädchen) und dass sie beim Wetter eine wichtige Rolle spielt. Am Rande kommt auch noch die Sauberhaltung der Luft als wichtige Gegenwartsaufgabe zur Sprache.

Within the framework of a play story, children experience the 'element air' in its properties and its function for human life. Air in its manifold meaning for human beings is the subject of the film. On the one hand, it is about the existential connection that life is not possible without air. In addition, it is shown that air 'carries' (e.g. balloon, parachute), that its properties can be used in play (e.g. pinwheel) and that it plays an important role in the weather. In passing, the cleanliness of the air is also discussed as an important contemporary task.
