16mm Film - Fire - Parent Information - Play School - BRD 1969
Script and Direction: Harald Hohenacker and Ute Oswald
Camera: Peter Ettengruber
Music: Improved Sound Ltd.
Cast: Angelika Pingel, Joschi Kuén, and others.
This film provides suggestions and information on how to teach children to use fire safely. It points out that punishment and prohibition are hardly the right methods for making children aware of the dangers of fire. Only through controlled self-experimentation can children learn how to handle fire. Several documentary scenes illustrate these points and show how carefully even four- and five-year-olds can handle fire and how careful they are to avoid danger.
