Clever and Scatterbrain in Road Traffic - Part 2

16mm Film - Clever and Scatterbrain in Road Traffic - Part 2 - BRD 1956

Script and Direction: Eugen von Bongardt

Camera: Gerhard Huttula

Cast: Jupp Hussels, Walter Gross, and others.

In the 1950s, these funny film episodes were part of the opening program of movie shows and provided information about the rules of the game of the incipient automotive economic miracle. Many a laugh was stuck in the throat. Even from today's perspective, these educational pieces by Clever & Schussel are still relevant and a feast for the eyes, especially for lovers of historic vehicles. Berlin streets were the backdrop for Schussel's disastrous attempts at driving a motorcycle, VW Bully, Hanomag L 28, motor scooter, Opel Rekord or his experiences as a passenger in the mighty three-axle Büssing buses. There was almost nothing he did right and Clever knew better with a winking eye, of course.
