The master chattily explains his handiwork, introducing the children to simple work processes and all kinds of materials and tools. There is also no lack of advice about the possibility of getting hurt. The children are particularly interested in the various machines that the master sets in motion with humorous explanations: a heel is straightened, an unraveled seam is made whole again, eyelets are driven in. The children are allowed to try out some of the tools themselves.
