One of his local councillors, who is also a member of the district council, therefore goes to the district administrator accompanied by a schoolboy. Dieter is also allowed to accompany his uncle, who is a blacksmith and fire department commander, on the information trip, during which the district council visits the district hospital, district roads, the vocational school and an old town gate, which is threatened with demolition without the help of the district treasury. Tasks, worries and problems, and always costs! On this occasion, Aurach's district council representative brings up the community's wish: the motorized fire engine. The district administrator explains that the district wants to purchase a fire engine with government assistance, perhaps it could be stationed in Aurach? Debates, supporters, opponents. In the end, however, the people of Aurach are able to celebrate: the old manual fire engine gives way to the modern fire extinguisher. The fictitious community of Aurach in the equally fictitious district of Gronstadt gave me no rest in researching the true location of the story. In my opinion, it can only be the community of Frankenwinheim in the district of Gerolzhofen. A particular attraction of this film, which is as informative as it is exciting, is the fact that none of the characters are played by actors. Dieter is a boy from the village shown, the blacksmith is the village blacksmith who is actually a member of the local council and the district council, the mayor is the real mayor and the district administrator is the real district administrator. Now you're probably asking why none of them speak Schweinfurt dialect. Quite simply because the film has obviously been dubbed.
