The film consists of three parts: 1. A short animated scene depicts people's longing for a perfect life—and its surprising fulfillment. 2. A documentary sequence shows children making stick puppets and using them to act out a scene in ancient Israel: the people long for the Messiah, who is supposed to liberate the country from the Romans and restore the law; but the fulfillment comes in a completely different way. 3. A feature film scene takes us to the Munich Christmas market, where two people receive help in an unexpected way: a stranger is shown the right way by a blind man, and a boy is given the money he needs for his journey home by a beggar.
