Karol, who suffers under his mother's excessive care, arrives at a new school after his father's death, where he is not accepted by the class clique and is mocked as a mama's boy. Although the boy gives in to the group's pressure, he is tyrannized. Only his death from an incurable illness makes his classmates reflect. Crafted with sensitivity to child psychology and distinguished by excellent direction of the actors (almost exclusively amateurs), the film raises awareness of the problems of both children and adults.
An avalanche of harassment falls on Karol. Constantly persecuted, he feels like a cornered, defenseless animal. He begins to hate his classmates and avoid school... He contracts meningitis. After several months, news of his death reaches the class. His tormentors are the most shaken.
