This is a spectacular color film, it offers you a privileged view of the mighty river at a high point in its history. You stand on the deck of the Royal Yacht 'Britannia'- your companions, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip.

Through Royal River, you occupy a front seat at a host of special occasions. You join the stirring welcome at Quebec and Montreal, and share the platform as the Queen and President Eisenhower declare the international waterway officially open.

Royal River is a memorable record of a history making event occurring in a lifetime. It is an event the film surveys through the eyes of history. Reminder of a proud occasion of yesterday, the film also recalls the romance of the river's past history.

A film for all North Americans to see again and again! Of special value to the teaching of history and geography.
